It appears your petition is for a PC...
I just checked the petition out of curiosity and it looks like this guy has spec'd out a run of the mill PC running Linux. Not sure even those of us who are hardcore Atari fans would buy something like this. Seriously, direct your energy and attention to something worthwhile like helping the homeless or finding a cure for a terrible disease.

Not a good idea. The problems with atari currently is documented. They don't need to make a new system. They should have the systems made on nintendo's virtual game console or make a flashback for the 5200, lynx or the 8bit computer line.
As much as an old gamer like me would give his left testicle to see that happen - Like many of the others have stated, it's just not gonna....
Just the name 'Atari' just makes you smile.
