Vectrex Shirt $12 at http://www.scootanddestroy.com
A minty boxed magic of scherzerade for $2.99
It's been a kinda slow week for me.
Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!
View my collection!
I just got The King of Fighter EX: Neoblood for the GBA, in practically MINT condition (the box has a little bit of damage), for $15 shipped off eBay. It has EVERYTHING - manuals, inserts, even the registration card!
And you can tell whoever bought it... didn't like it. Apparently it was only played ONCE, since the Character Usage counter only showed three entries: Ryo, Kyo, and Ralf, all used one time. I hope my SP doesn't puke while playing it... it's that bad!
On the other hand, I lost an auction for a sealed KOF EX2: Howling Blood by fifty goddamn cents. But the guy wanted $7 to ship the item in a bubble mailer, so he can go screw himself. :P
But I did get a Buy It Now on another GBA game I'd been looking for... which is an indirect sequel to one of my translations. Mwahahahahahahaha... more details when it gets here.
FYE:
GTA San Andreas First Edition (XBX) - $20.00
Slipknot: Iowa (CD) - $10.00
In the mail:
Everlast: Whitey Ford Sings The Blues (CD)
Pretty slow weekend...
in the mail:
Shin Megami Tensei Digital Devil Saga LE
a GC Broadband Adapter (about time! )
Tomba! 2 (for one of my friends... jewel case is fragged, but jewel cases are cheap)
a pleasant surprise from Comic Quest, Evansville, IN:
2 MINT (were sealed until I opened them) vintage issues of EGM2, and 1 minty EGM.
EGM is from June '94, has the "first info on Sonic 4", a Virtua Fighter cover and poster.
The EGM2 issues are from January '95 (#6, Batman & Robin cover, includes 3DO buyer's guide, and is freakin' huge) and May '95 (#10, amateurish Night Warriors cover, includes 1995 RPG buyer's guide, and is freakin' small).
One of them has an ad for Lufia for the Genesis in it (did that come out here?!) among other interesting stuff.
Since I've read them and really can't use them for art references, they're up for trade.

I hit three thrift stores today. Didn't find anything too rare, but I did manage to come away with a nice little haul...
These Street Fighter discs were only about $1.50. Too bad I can't play them without DOS.
Oh, and I forgot to take a shot of nice N64 I also found today. It came with 4 brand new looking controllers, all different colors for $13.00! The nice, new-ish controllers were main reason I bought it - mine were wearing out.
All in all, I paid around $30.00 for the whole day's finds.
Picked up a few new things today.

Diddy Kong Figure 25c

Finally games have started arriving from trades I made, some from here some from gametz. I got:
Einhander (PS1)
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (GCN) - New still sealed! Well, not for much longer.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (GCN)
Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 Strategy Guide
Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith (PS2)
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II The Sith Lords (PC)
Strikers 1945 (PS1)
I’ve been wanting Einhander again for a long time. I used to have it but lost track of my copy about five years ago… Don’t know what happened to it, must have loaned it out to someone and it never got returned. Trust me lesson learned, I don’t intend to ever let that happen again, plus it probably helps that I’m not planning to move 200 miles away for five years again.

Fan-fucking-tastic day for garage sales today. Garage sale season has officially started in my town!
First, yesterday at the thrifts I found these goodies. -Complete Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf, $1.80.
-King's Quest Companion, $1.00.
-Goo Gone, $1.29 from Goodwill. They are starting to sell a lot of new merch. these days. They are trying to be like the dollar store, only more expensive.
First yard sale I hit is right down the street from me. Like new 13-inch Samsung flat screen TV with remote, $10. We needed a new TV for the bedroom, and this is perfect. Went right on top of the dresser.
Walking back to my house carrying the TV, I spot a guy putting up flyers for his yard sale. I ask him if he has any games. "Yeah. You mean board games?" "No, video games." "Uh, yeah some old Sega Master System and Game Gear stuff." So I hot foot it back to Casa de Jibba and drop off the TV, then jam over to his sale a couple of streets over.
-Game Gear System
-Columns (GG)
-Sonic the Hedgehog (GG)
-Dragon Crystal (GG)
-Revenge of Drancon (GG)
-Manuals for all games and system
-AC adapter
-Car adapter
-External battery pack
-SMS light gun
-NES gray zapper gun
-Great Soccer (SMS)
-Pro Wrestling (SMS)
-Galaxy Force (SMS)
-Shinobi (SMS)
-Gear Master (SMS --> GG cart adapter)
All for $5 total.
Block sale near my neighborhood. No games, but a kid was selling fresh (still warm) homemade biscotti for 25 cents each, and I scored this phone, still boxed, plus an expansion handset and base (not pictured.) The price tag from Fry's on the phone was $179.99 and on the expansion handset was $69.99. He sold them to me for $5.00 total. Seems like a nice phone, and we could use a new one.
Went to a few more sales downtown and didn't find bupkis. Then at the last one I found this sweet CD shelf for $5.00, and this Net MD player for $5.00. The MD player came with all the hookups and documentation and the CD. Basically everything but the box. If anyone wants to buy this, let me know. Otherwise it's going to eBay.
These are just some highlights from the last couple of weeks of hunting. Final Fantasy III and Chrono Trigger are both mint, and both came with manuals (not pictured). They were about $3 each. I bought them from a guy on craigslist. I was at his house buying a Barbeque from him, and I asked if he had any games for sale, as I had bought some Gameboy games from him a week prior. He pulls these out, plus Secret of Evermore (not pictured). Moral of this story? IT NEVER HURTS TO ASK!!! The Centipede MB game was $1.99 from Goodwill and is in pretty bad shape. The box was already pretty beat up, but then the stupid fucks at Goodwill taped the box shut by WRAPPING packing tape around it, and then someone spilled fruit punch on it while it was in the store. (I know this because the punch was on top of the tape). I haven't even tried to take the tape off yet. Sounds like a good job for my new bottle of Goo Gone. I found the game while out thrifting with evg2000, and he was the one who spotted it, but he let me take it. Thanks, dude!
And I'm still heading out to TWO flea markets today!!! BWAHAHAHAH!!!!
Chris
