Default You Have A Time Machine! Where Do You Go?

Okay, you found an old time machine! But it only has two trips left in it, and you have money to burn on video game related items.

    What are your two destinations?

(I have to think about mine, first.) I know Earthbound might be included. I might also go back to when NES was being phased out.

Why would you want all those ET carts? ET isn't worth jack as it is.

First, I'd go back to when Computer Space, the Pong cab, and the Odyssey were around.

Second, I'd go back to when the NES was plumeting in price, pick up some of that stuff along with some NES rarities. While I was in that time period I'd run around to all the thrift stores and snatch up all the nearly free classics I could find. Think about all that dedicated consoles, INTV, Atari, arcade cabs...so many goodies for next to nuthin'.

I'd go back to 0 ad, Jerusalem, or wherever the hell it was supposed to happen.

As for gaming, I'd be simply going back to 1990 and grabbing a bunch of carts after an event. With the actual money, I'd rent a TON of copies of the panesian games, then take my second trip back to this time.

If I have a time machine and it can only be used for video game purposes, I'm going to 2080. There *has* to be some sweet systems then. Plus, the inevitable Mario Party 53 and The Legend of Zelda: The Quickening.

I'd set the dial to september 1987 and go to woolworth's to buy as many unopened stadium events as they had in stock.

Those cartridges would be great for homebrew games if that is what the the poster wanted or use them to make tables and other furnriture out of e.t Cartridges. The e.t furniture could be sold on ebay then.

I'd be off on a Neo Geo shopping spree. Specifically the US release of Metal Slug and that day Telegames had a big stack of Euro Kizunas.

I would go back to 97 or 98 when a store had a bundle of games with a sms system with a light gun. It was a huge mistake.

And the 2nd thing to use the time machine thing was to buy sms games at another store that were euo in my hometown in the United States.

I'd simply go back in time and give my younger self some winning lottery numbers so that I could just buy everything ever released, ever.

I might also wreck the timeline by giving the Odyssey 2 designers back in 1978 a Nintendo 64 to reverse-engineer, as well as game designs for Tetris and a host of other hits. Maybe then Magnavox would have obtained the supremecy they deserved. Muhahahah!

If it was a really, really good time machine, I'd travel sideways in time to the paralell universe where Ultima X : Odyssey got released and hang out there for a year or two.

December 2002. I'd mark my box of Saturn and PS1 games + cases as "PLEASE DO NOT THROW ME AWAY".

Either that or early 2001 when I'd go on a Neo Geo shopping spree at a local used game store and then ebay the fuck out of everything when I get back to present time.

I'd go back to the early 90's and buy a ton of Microsoft stock and give myself a few winning big pot lotto numbers. I'd be sure to win the lotto the first weekend I'm there to fund my spending sprees and all, that way I can afford to invest all that money and inform some close people to buy certain games that will become rarities and all.

Oh ya, don't forget to invest into Amazon, Yahoo, Walmart, some oil companies and Apple.

i'd just go back in time and enjoy the feeling of being in a packed arcade full of video games etc.

i'd also have a word with all of the managers to throw all the old boardsets / machines my way

Reading is fundamental. No lottery tickets, no stock.

It's game related in a sense that I could actually afford to buy the rares and later on buy more modern games. Also it'd give the chance to purchase older games that are well out of my price range. In addition I said I'd tell some of my friends what to buy in the comming years.

Who needs lotto tickets/stock when you've got 10 copies of Euro Kizuna and 20 copies of US Metal Slug Ok, so yeah, but it's the next best thng.

Now depending on whether we can move through space too, there'd be much fun to be had in Nintendo R&D1 one night. Sit down and have a crack on MarioDD on Miyamoto-san's 64DD, have a fiddle with the 'Playstation' and a quick go on the colour VB.

Oh, and whatever game show it was that SNK demo'd the MVS version of Ironclad at would be getting a personal visit. Methinks a good bit of time travel based theivery and messing with the time line is always good fun.

Ok first of all I would go back to 1969 and buy about 6 cars that I know are rare as hell now.(Yenko Camaro, Chevelle and Nova; Plymouth Superbird, Shelby Cobra and a 1969 RSSS Huggar Orange Camaro for my mom).

Gaming related I would go back to 1984 and invest in Nintendo. If not that I would go to November of 2007 and get a copy of Halo 3 to play now.

Without a doubt, IŽd go back and save Sega by advertising them to not piss of gamers with so many stupid add-ons.
Step Back! This is my blast shot!
