May be a real stupid question of the GBA-SP but...

I just got the SP model used and it came with no manuals.
Can someone give me the lowdown on how to charge the battery.
IE How not to overcharge it (if possible); how not to short circuit something by doing something I shouldn't while it's charging (if possible); and how to tell when the battery IS fully charged

I don't think it's possible to overcharge.
When it's charging, an orange LED will light up. Once it's off, it's fully charged.

When you are playing the GBA, a green LED is lit on the roght side. When the battery is getting very low, the green LED turns red. When you plug it into the wall, a seperate orange LED lights up. When the system is fully charged, the orange LED goes off.

The battery is made of Lithium Ion, and is a very strong battery that is resistant to developing a "memory" like with Nickel Cadmium batteries. Therefore, you can recharge it prior to it depleting and play the system while it is charging without worry. Additionally, according to Nintendo, the battery is good for approximately 5000 charges. Depending on how used it is and how often you plan on using it, you may want to purchase a replacement battery from Nintendo before they discontinue them.
