Default What is the best Hyper Sports type game?

I think Hyper Sports 1 for the NES is the best, not to irritating the turbo buttons are better than mashing....nice fun and relaxing.

I tried Hyper Sports 2000 and I just couldn't get into it....

    Plz discuss thnx

    It depends,
how many different versions have you played on different machines?
Can you compare to justify the NES version being the best?

Arcade and N64 versions of Hyper Sports 2000 it's okay just seems a bit difficult.

I played the Hyper Sports 2 for NES and I wasn't impressed.....

In my opinion I liked the Hyper Sports for the NES the best, easy to get into, turbo buttons.

    Activision Decathlon.

And if you don't like button bashers, but something a bit more skilled and co-ordinated, then Summer Games 1 and 2 for the C64.

The handheld version of Hyper Olympics Challenge 5 is surprisingly good for an 80's VFD game translation.

The only thing it's missing is the understandably, the Hammer Throw (hence the "Challenge 5" name). But everything else is in there and plays well especially if you have 2 players... although I'm too scared to play mine these days with all the pounding on the tiny plastic it takes to play

Yep, Epyx was responsible for a number of entries in the "Games" series over the years:

    Summer Games 1 and 2
    Winter Games
    World Games
    California Games

There were further updates to the Summer and Winter strands later on, but they weren't as good with all new events.

Hyper Sports was great but '88 games was better because of the 4 player action. Arcade only though.
