How well are the Dreamcast Mame emulators. I have not tried them, but am very interested in them. What can they play and how well? Are there any full speed games.

MAME DC is good for the novelty of "Hey! I'm playing MAME on a console" but that's about it. You can play early games (Space Invaders, Pac-Man, etc.) Full speed, but you're going to have to play around to find a resolution that doesn't look funky on the TV. Basicallly anything newer than about 1984 takes a serious hit in speed to the point of being not fun to play.
I really appreciate the work put into putting MAME on the DC, but really I think it's more of a done to say it was done kind of thing rather than having any real value for playing.
Now MAME on the Xbox, that intrigues me!
I would still like to hear from someone actually playing Xbox mame. I am very curious as to how many games it handles, how they're installed, and how the performance is. Like the Capt said, Mame for DC is somewhat of a novelty. It's nice for some older games like pac-man and such, but even there it isn't perfect. Still incredible however...
