Default Found a sealed Nes ver. of Qix...questions for pricing.

Hey, long time nes aficionado, first time poster!

Ok, so I found this nes version of the hit game Qix. I was wondering a honest ending price on ebay. Someone already offered me $250.00, but I wanted to know if this is a decent price.

I already searched the resources and its rated a A on the rarety index, but I couldn't find a specific enough post or webpage for a sealed copy. hrrrm.

hah. funny story about this.. my girlfriend the other week was like, aw it looks cool, lets open it! But I was hesitant. She went on vacation the next day. phew.

Hi, I had a friend who sold a sealed copy for 60 on ebay, and I didn't have the heart to tell him that I saw one sell a couple of weeks before that for around 160.

That 250 is a nice sounding offer, I would take it!

    sigh.

When I was collecting nes games in my sophmore year of H.S. I would never have thought of ever taking a offer like this, but now I'm moving out into the real world *ouch* I'm forced to. thanks.

Honestly I probably wouldnt sell that unless I were pretty hard up for cash. Qix is a hard one to come by, even loose.

So a loose QIX goes for $10 and a sealed one goes for $150+. What would a C.I.B. QIX be worth?

Complete Qix's usually run from $20-$35 depending on condition. I'd say $250-$300 is a good selling price for a sealed one.

The game is extremely hard to find complete. I would personally pay up to $50 for a CIB copy. A sealed copy would be worth an easy $200. I'd say between $225-$250 is a good price.

Then again, depends if it's legit and what condition it's in. Where did you pick it up at?

I go to yard sales with my girlfriend's mother every friday and saturday (I live in a area where theres tons!) looking specificly for nes stuff and other electronics. I spot this old nes sitting on a table with four games, qix being one of them,(nobody around, but a older crowd) I ask how much and he says "for you, 2 dollars."

Then he gets into the story about how he bought the nes for his grandson to use when he would come down on the weekends. Now his grandson is older, in college, and doing other things.

He said something like "he has tons of nintendo stuff", I'm kinda guessing hes a collector. Another answer to why qix wasn't open.

Well anyways I walked out with a grin the size of texas and a ton of stuff for 2 bucks.

here are some images I shot. The buyer specificly wanted to see the vertical and horizontal seams in the photos.

    Default Hurry!

Did you ask about the other NES stuff?
Grandpa might have some more hidden treasure he didn't put out, thinking it's an old toy and not wanting to hassle carrying back in side if it didn't sell.

Two years ago, I found a sealed copy of Qix for Gameboy and SMB3 for NES at the Salvation Army for $7.00.

Just when I start to lose heart, stories like this keeps me searching for my Holy Grail.

yeah. I'm glad I have the ability to come home and play treasure hunter on the east coast. I've lived in Long Beach, CA. for the past year, and while the yardsales were OK, they're nothing compared to out here.

hah. you're from cypress. I lived at the nickle nickle for the cup of weeks before I left, cool place.

I just got a box for Qix for $10 on ebay. I had the cart and instructions but all 3 are hard to find. CIB $50 strong.
If you are ever in St louis stop by my store Trade-N-Games. I have a huge selection of vintage games along with the new systems. Or shop online now www.tradengames.com

My oldest son stops in there on the way home from high school.
He was always playing Vampire Savior on the free machine, so I went out and got the Saturn version so he could play it at home.

For $20 bucks I can take all four boys for a couple of hours.

That place rocks for the price!

Are you coming back out anytime soon?

Sigh. Unfort. I'm moving up to San Fran when I get back and have to flight directly into oakland (switching schools).

I'm really interested to see what kind of vintage sega stuff is in the bay area. I think there would be some treasures in the east bay, areas like oakland and emeryville.\

Yeah, I'd stick on that machine, or smash tv & tmnt. I just wish they'd fix the controls on tmnt.

Today I'm going to an old video store that had old carts and boxes at one point. Really hopeing he'll sell them to me, if he didn't already. I'll let you guys know how that turns out.

I just want to throw in that I think you should take the guy's offer for $250 if you're hard up for cash. I don't think you could do much better than that.

Hey I'm going to ask this here because I don't want to crowd the main page...

has anyone seen www.shopgoodwill.com ? Its Just what the name implys. I'm amazed though at the amount of older gaming stuff they have advertised (under camera and electronic equip.)
