A guy I worked with said $30. I found that hard to believe.

$43.21
Yikes that's not too far from it.
I wouldn't be surprised if you had to pay EB for them to take games it's getting so bad.
its like $50.00-$70.00, why dont you call and ask?
Will they even give you a quote over the phone? I know when I worked for gamestop we weren't suppose to reveal trade in prices over the phone because people were more likely to accept the low amount we offered once they'd already driven down there with all their shit in tow.Originally Posted by Darren870
Course if you're only asking for one item, it's possible you may just happen to get a hold of a helpful clerk.
Yea whenever I call there they always say they're really busy. Happened 3 times now so I gave up.
Yea I worked for ebgames and it was the same. I would tell someone though the price of a system or a game if i knew it off the top of my head though.Originally Posted by Daria
Anyways I called the old store i worked at and its $45. However there is a coupon in gameinformer this month and you get an extra $20 when you trade in the system. So get that and its $65.
I was at Gamestop yesterday, and I saw that happening first hand. They had to charge the guy a refurb fee of two or three bucks per game, and after that he was getting only about five bucks back. They were going back and forth with it for a while, and I decided to just leave and buy what I was going to buy at Funcoland.Originally Posted by aaronpetrosky
I don't understand -- why do people trade things in if they get so little for them? I mean, unless you hate a game, is it worth getting rid of it for $5 (unless it's a dupe)? I mean, I can understand if you're really short, but geez, you gotta be able to privately sell a PS2 slimline for more than $45.
Then again I just aquire, aquire and never sell, sell.
Do EB and gamestop have different trade in prices? I remember hearing one of them did cash, while the other did credit..
That being said, I wouldnt mind buying it off of you for more then the trade in value
Its not $50 anymore its $45..
The slim and old models used to have different trade-in prices. I'd image they still do. Also, isn't there a SKU for PS2s with the Net adapter?Originally Posted by Darren870

Yes they do have a different trade in price fat ones are probably $40 or $35. There is no sku though for the ones with network adapters.
when it comes to selling games or consoles EB is terrible i sugest going somewhere else! like maybe a pawn shop of some sort or maybe even here at DP. youll get a much better deal!
Yea I don't plan on getting rid of mine. I just know that last summer I traded in my Ps2-fat version and I got $70 and I was curious to see how much they were giving for a mini.
