Default Smash Packs: Cheap buck or retro-classics?

How do you feel about the "Smash packs" being relased? You think it's a good way to bring newer gamers to play the classics and the older gamers to relive their younger years, or is this a quick way for companies to milk the ca$h cow?

you have to save it in the game and then at the smash pack menu screen... Shining Force works the same way.
