Repeat topic forum
But seriously, out of all of the suggestions so far, movies is my favorite. I can't think of anything else I would like better.
I'm with Pant.
I've been waiting for an all-film forum for a while.

Hmph.
I guess the only other topic could be magazines? That is a pretty wide topic, and some of you guys strike me as the kind of people who like the odd Comic
I think most classic gamers like The Simpsons, Family Guy and Futurama. That might be a good one.
Or, maybe just The Simpsons, but that might be too narrow.
Or, maybe just Cartoons, but that might be too broad.
Classic computing's not a bad idea either. A lot of people here either grew into (or out from) classic gaming via the old machines. There are a lot of parallel themes between the two including hardware mods and homebrewed programming, but retrocomputing still seems to be somewhat apart from the general discussions in DP that center on those topics.
Additionally the last two "du jour" topics have been centered around popular forms of entertainment: Science Fiction and Music. Doing movies as a topic would, in a sense, be more of the same thing, or at least bring up the same sorts of threads: "What's your favorite Spielberg film other than Jurassic Park?" Ehh...maybe it's time for something really different.
I like the food/drink idea. I would also love to see a comic book forum.
A movie forum makes sense. It has my vote.
I agree with Pant on this one. Whatever the new forum du jour is, I would like to see it not be more "popular forms of entertainment." I was disinterested in the last two forums for the same reason, and if it is films this time then I will be disinterested again. Let's talk about something that we don't already talk about. If not classic computing, then food and drink would be kinda cool. We could swap recipes and talk about wierd kinds of food and whatnot.Originally Posted by Pantechnicon

You bastard! How dare you pick Kamino. That's like picking Lance Armstrong to win the Tour de France. If he's competing you know i'll happen.Originally Posted by Carey85
The only difference is that Armstrong has retired. Kamino's retirment will cause you to win the pool.
Good call. I'm changing my vote to Classic Computing. Movies after that.Originally Posted by Jibbajaba

Food and drink. As a person who likes to cook, this is something I would like. This can be for fast food, Resturant, home cooking, grilling, or doing receipes of that fast food or your sit down Resturant use.
I'm going with 2 of the ideas already listed:
#1) Computers
#2) Movies
It's a cool idea to switch from one medium to another like Music -> Movies. Also a computers forum would be nice for members to talk about different system setups, operating systems, latest technology, ect. The food idea is alright but don't think it'll last long unless you get a bunch of gamers posting about their nifty snack creations.

How about "Rubik's Cube"
Or just "Puzzles".
Also, a forum for jokes might work.
"Tell her you want to slide a hot throbbing cartridge in her warm tight console port. And if it starts blinking and flashing to just slide it back out and blow on it a little."--Sothy
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: a comics forum! Back me up, geeks.
I third that. I've always thought this forum needed a computer forum.Originally Posted by letsallgameon

I am all for Classic Computing, if not that, I'll take comics or foods.
I've always thought a (permanent) combination music/movie forum would be nice to have around here, since we seem to have some very knowledgeable folks in those subjects here at DP. Maybe even lump TV in with the both of them for good measure.
Other than that, and this was mentioned not long ago, maybe a short revival of the Kingdom Arts forum that used to be around a while back. We've got lots of folks into making art around here (be it game-related or not) and it's usually pretty cool to see.
