A friend of mine is looking for a C64 to buy. Anyone have one they're willing to part with? Email me at axelay@ureach.com

I've got a c64 that I'll sale to you for 9.99 but unfortunatly it doesn't come with anything cool and it weighs a lot more then you would think.. I was told that shipment to wherever you live will be $25. Also this is a mint system that I can't test comes in a box not original and I'll throw in one of my old Atari 2600 high pro-cision(tm) Joysticks. This also come with some cables that look like they might fit this system somehow. I turned it on just a minute ago and sparks shot out of the power LED so I know it still powers up. Comes with a fast load cart for the vic 20. Did I mention the MINT?

i got one too , comes with a crapload of stuff / drives games (boxed) all its missing is a power supply email me if interested
Anyway, this is a serious request. There's real money involved here.
Seriously, anyone?
once you get a disc drive for it i can sell you a bunch of disc games for it. i have a keyboard and powersupply too, and a mach 5 cartridge(i think this goes to the c64, it was in the same box) if you want that stuff.
dude i am serious
@skatepunk - sorry about that. I'll send you an email in a minute.
@nesman - Let me see about getting the system and I'll let you know.
things to consider when buying commodore..
1) you can get a C128 for the same price as a C64 or C64c
Pro - Its a C128! can run CP/M software thanx to the Z80 processor.
Con - You will never use the C128 functions. except for Beyond Zork.
2) 1541 drives do not support double sided disks. consider a 1571 which is also quicker.
Pro-fast, supports double sided media can work in 1541 mode for compatability
con-costs more then a 1541, no nostagic *click-click-click* noises
3) a good number of "working" c64's have problems with ports. usually the computer was a hand me down and the system was moved or kicked with the cords still in the ports. this stripped out the ports and what you get is a c64 that can't use a disk drive or the Joysticks are flaky.. but the unit "works."
4) get a tape drive (datasette), just because they are under $10 shipped and are just so low tech.. they rock.. There are over 1000 games that came on tapes and you can create all of them from roms (TAP's) threw a Tape recorder and a mini to mini headphone jack (you can use the mixing cable that came with you Sega CD for this)
the be all end all of collecting (the cool) Commodore products are:
the 1581 3.5" floppy drive
The Commodore 128D computer
the Commodore SX-64 portable (an even rarer version of this is one with an internal 1581 drive)
There are like 20 other pre-C128 computers like the Japanese Commodore MAX Machine but none of them are saught after (except for the old computer hardware collectors) because of the lack of software. Can you collect games for a system with no games? *ponder*
Any Commodore 64/64c/128 veriant with a floppy and tape drive and all cables should be under $50 shipped. don't get caught in a bidding war every day 5 new computers go up for auction starting at 9.99.. remember that shipping is almost always $20 of the final cost.
