The human operates out of complex superiority demands, self -affirming through ritual, insiting upon a rational need to learn, striving for self-imposed goals, manipulating his environment while he denies his own adaptive abilities, never fully satisfied.

Sell it to another company.
Dear god why?
i think the series has one more chance to be brought back
there would have to be minimal bugs and a cool story
ive only played the first 2 (for a short time) and i thought they were fun - especialy the second one
i dont know much about the last 2 except that bugs reduced the amount of fun in the game.

Maybe Ubi will give more of a shit about bringing the Driver series out the gutter than Atari did. Here's hoping that's true, although I'm not expecting any miracles.
If you like GTA-style games, check out Parallel Lines. They fixed a lot of the problems that Driver 3 had, most notably in the on-foot segments (still not perfect though, especially aiming). Plus you have the ability to bring back any vehicle you jack into a garage, save it and then customise it.
i think its a good thing... ubisoft has very good development studios, the quality of ubi games are rather high and usually have soul (which is more than i can say for atari, ea etc).
i hope the next installment proves me right.
Ubisoft is on a roll, lately. They've rolled out a ton of games in the past few months.
A good portion of them were good, too.
Maybe they can breathe a little life back in the series.
Atari let go of Timeshift too, can't say I'm too suprised about that.
Ubisoft, for me, have really pulled their socks up over the last couple of years. I seem to buy a lot of their games, these days.
Which is why it is so sad to see them buying the Driver franchise. They paid... roughly... 24 million over the odds.
Honestly, the Driver series is dead and buried. Northing short of the greatest game of all time would see my buying another one.
Next thing you know they'll aquire the Daiktana and Kao the Kangaroo licences! GO UBI!
x_x
Go, go Ackman!
This could be very interesting, they've had a good track record the past few years and havn't made that many bad games. Look what they did with the Prince of Persia series, it got reformed into a new life and was turned into a good 3D game, unlike Prince of Persia 3D.
Then again this could turn out to be very horrible, so we'll haev to see what happens.
I hope they turn the series around. I have all installments, but have only played the first 3. 3 was a turd... I haven't opened my copy of Parellel Lines yet, but I heard a lot of problems were fixed. I remember how much I loved the first Driver game. I played the crap out of it and made a lot of codes with the Gameshark Pro that made it fun as hell...
