Just curious if anyone here is going to be checking on Vanguard for PC? Looks like it will be a cool one

yeah, it looks pretty good for a MMORPG. A friend of mine is a senior artist at Sigil. He also did art for EQ2.
I just don't play those anymore. Too much time wasted.
Couple of the guys who were my staff for Lucid Vision's Everquest Emulator project were also hired by Sigil.
Vanguard shows a lot of promise, although all the beta-testers i know see the game as complete crap. But that's just an early beta. If Vanguard does PvP correctly(WoW did not) we will be heading into it. If not, we will be waiting for Darkfall.

Ahhh thats cool. I have alot of issues wiht EQ2...I liked it, but for some reason (on all 3 top of the line pc's, and 2 diff internet connections) everything would just lag. You would run, then 2 inches in front of your face a monster would finally be see'able (if thats a word), and you turn around and would be surrounded. Not like they just spawned, but like they were there but would not show up on the screen.Originally Posted by geneshifter

I agree that EQ2 had some real problems. I still preferred EQ1 over it. From what my friend tells me, VSoH is going to be a very complicated and involved game that will actually reward those players that put in the time, something that other games, *cough* SWG *cough*, have abandoned.Originally Posted by Necrosaro420
The artwork is great. If you haven't already, you should talk with other fans about it on their forums. There has been a lot of interviews and advertisements for the game here lately. I hope you enjoy the game.
I thought EQ1 was boring. Too much like an amusement park, where you have to wait in line for the fun.
One good reason to play games is so that you don't have to be in an asinine line.
But then again, I hate all MMOs now. Nothing beats a multiplayer coop game.
You are startled by a grim snarl. Before you, you see 1 Red dragon. Will your stalwart band choose to (F)ight or (R)un?
