I've seen banner ads for it on Play-Asia.com, but never checked out screenshots or trailers. I didnt know this game looked that awesome on the PSP I thought it was more of a collection of GnG for NES, SNES and Arcade. I havnt picked up a PSP yet, but when i do im sure i'll get this game.

I'm so pissed at the 1 magazine that trashed this game, that you'd FIGURE it would get decent reviews since it was hyped so long...PSM.(September 06 issue)..they gave it a 4 out of 10...and then they said "Want a better update to GnG? Try MAXIMO! or GnG on Genesis! or Demon's Crest on SNES! Seriously!"

Then again, I was pissed when they trashed SF Anniversary Collection, saying it had too many "load times" yet SF Alpha Anthology was PRAISED!

As I even continue to read this issue, I'm laughing at the preview of Capcom Classics Vol. 2 for PS2...and I qoute from this asshat magazine...

"Relive the wasting of your youth! Like its brother (See Capcom Classics Reloaded on PSP) this complitation includes old-school arcade games like "THE KING OF DRAGONS" and others! But it also has two interesting additions: Quiz & Dragons- a trivia ame that will quiz your Capcom History-and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. Yes, the insanely hardcore, "ultimate" version of SF2. Plus, there are a bunch of other classic games."

Okay...WHO wrote this? First off, who reviewed this small preview and then published it? PSM Wouldn't fuckin know what QUIZ & DRAGONS was if it slept with it's ugly sister, knocked her up, and money was missin from the counter! I've seen it all the time...

The only "youth" I see wasted is on the next-gen of gamers! They will never ever ever know the true feeling of a beautiful Arcade from our time and it's a damn shame! When $5 worth of quarters, would take us so far in Final Fight, TMNT, Rampage, Ninja Warriors, Xenophobe, and X-men The Arcade!

I just thank god I didn't pay for this damn magazine! I don't even know why Im abusing my mind by reading this garbage!

this game is gonna kick ass, I don't believe the reviews... I rather try the game myself, but a game like this one, is a no brainer..

I've been playing this on and off for the past couple weeks and kinda agree with the lackluster reviews. Sure, it looks great but the controls are very clunky and it just isn't that fun.

I loved Super G&G because it was such a big step up from the original game, graphically and gameplay-wise. Ultimate G&G doesn't really do anything new with the franchise except for a few minor things like new graphics/music and weapons & armor. I'm kinda disappointed with it.

I'll admit that the 4 out of 10 rating given by PSM seems ridiculous though. It's more like a solid 6 instead.

6 I would be okay with, but a 4 is a bit silly, I agree with you Norkusa

So because you want to love the game you can't even beleive the reviews? You don't even own the game yet you are putting it on some sort of great PSP pedestol.

Funny, and I thought the reason for getting a PSP was Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror. Why, oh why doesn't it hop on PS2?

    Thanks, Sony. No, really. Thanks...

My first PC games and favorite game of all-time.

Personally I think that the controls are fine, as it seems to have that 'unforgiving platformer' feel that isn't a sign of bad control, just very difficult and precise. The main turn-off for most, I think, is the "Kick-you-in-the-face-and-wait-for-you-to-come-back-for-
more difficulty that is the hallmark of the series. For me, it is to the old GnG games as the New Super Mario Bros. is to the old mario- an update with a decidedly retro feel, and the fans of the original stand to appreciate the most because they know what to expect.

Bingo. SF: DM is *awsome* - that and GTA: LCS are the two best reasons to own a PSP in my humble opinion (with Lumines being a nice sold third!)

    Lumines
    GTA: Liberty City
    Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
    emulation
    SF Alpha 3 max
    connectivity with PS3

these are all reasons for me owning the one I have. It is a great system in my opinion.
