    Default Intellivision Power Button

I just recently sold an Intellivision to a friend of mine and he says that the power button is a bit finicky. Sometimes it's hard to turn on, sometimes it doesn't turn on at all, and sometimes it turns itself off. Wiggling the button apparently helps the situation, so I'm assuming it's something to do with the button itself.

Are these a known troublemaker? I'm wondering what can be done to fix it. I'm considering either spraying some cleaner in there, or taking it apart and looking at it. I was just wondering if this was a common problem, or if a common solution exists.

resurrecting this to see if anyone has any advice for me. In my case, the switch is broken to where I am just looking at the bare contacts. I fished a few metal pieces that look like switch parts out of the console. I guess my question would be if there is a good replacement switch (I can likely manage the soldering) or maybe just a way to hotwire it, so long as that wouldn't be too bad for it (i.e. turning it on and off by plugging/unplugging the power cord).

The way I'm looking at it, I have wires going off to the left and have 9 contacts. Lets say:
    1 2 3
    4 5 6
    7 8 9

    wires are coming off 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, and 9.
