    Not a bad idea..... But they're charging an odd amount per song - 79 MS points...

    If they charged an even 80, you would get exactly 20 songs out of a 1600 points card. This way, you have an annoying 20 points left over so you have to buy more points to use them. See?

    I do think that this could be a good move, so long as Microsoft continues to spread the initiative across their other services. It could work really well as a standardised payment method, but it'll fail miserably (and deservedly so, I might add) if it becomes something of afterthought.

    But since Microsoft are keen to tie together many of their products and services, I suspect they might just come good on their vision for this.
