There are some who argue that "mint" is simply an adjective describing the physical condition of an item, and not necessarily an indicator of completeness. In this view, a loose cartridge with a shiny label and no Blockbuster labels constitutes "mint" condition.

I completely disagree, in that "mint" indicates a new or like new condition, and new games (with rare exceptions) do not come loose.

Would you consider a comic book with 1/3 of the pages removed (but the remainder in pristine condition) to be "mint"? When someone restores a car to mint condition, do they replace the bodywork but keep the aftermarket upholstery, in-dash DVD player and Autozone floormats in the car, or do they get replaced with original components?

Something to think about. "Mint" indicates something other than a synonym for "really clean".
