I am a military dependent so I have access to the post exchange or the px and they are constantly getting rid of their inventory especially if the game is big and takes up alot of space as the limited edition of this game does. I just wish they would do that with guitar hero then I would be in good shape.Originally Posted by gepeto
A buddy of mine works for The Collective (the developers of the game). I remember about 2 years ago he sent me screenshots of the environmental modeling he was doing for the game. Purely WIP type stuff. At that time, it had no name attached to it. All he said was that it was "sort of like GTA".
played through marc ecko's getting up and i have to say the 8 is about a 7 or 8 out of ten. the gaemplay is decent, the voice overs, graphics, story, music and compelete atmosphere is well done.
it is porbably the best collectors edition as of recent (besides bully with a friggin dodge ball). I comes with a black book (like what the character Trane carries in game with art from the game and lots of info), a silver sharpie for "tagging" in your black book, a game soundtrack produced by RJD2 and RZA, and a dvd with not only behind the scenes footage but a half hourish documentary on graffitti as recalled by past and present graffiti figures.
i will say marc ecko had a definite vision in mind and had a decent game arranged under that vision.
you coulda gotten it for $8 at circuit city!!
There probably weren't any Limited edition copies there.Originally Posted by suckerpunch5

The short of it all? Great game, sloppy in combat, but addictive.
Yeah the games combat system is a lttle rough, but the cd almost makes the whole buy worth it and I enjoyed reading the little list on information about graffiti. Now I can't wait for my collectors edition of FFXII to get here it should be just as sweet.
Doesn't matter, he can still price match it against them. AAFES has the best price matching policy ever. Any local store that is selling it for that price, they'll match it, even if it's not in stock. You just have to either bring the ad (and use it like a coupon) or tell a sales associate where you saw it and for what price; they'll call and verify. If it all checks out, they'll fill out a form to take up to the register and you just pay whatever amount the associate confirmed from the other store. As a bonus, there's no tax.Originally Posted by Slate
I made out awesomely during the July and August sales because of this. Double bonus because all games $20 and under were 75% off and there was a bin of games marked down to $2 just to unload them. Resident Evil 4 (GC) and Rise of Kasai (PS2) for $2 a piece? Yes, please.
These have been $19.99 for a while now. We have several of the XBox version in the store here. I did play the game and, personally, I'd say any amount payed is too damn much.
I need Best Buys and Circuit cities around here. Honestly.Originally Posted by roushimsx

I live outside the city in a very rual area (businesswise at least, no businesses out where I live at all), but after a 8 min or so drive to get into the city, there is a Best Buy, Circit City, and even a Comp USA all bunched up in what just has to be an area no bigger than 2 square miles or something, maybe 3. As a bonus, there is also a Target, WalMart, and Sam'sClub! lol, every business ya could ever want all in a very very small area with litte drives between them.Originally Posted by Slate
I will get around to editing this thing again.
Yes the price matching is amazing especially during the holiday season. I remember I got a PS2 for nearly half its price, because I price matched it and again no tax. I have gotten new games for five dollars and less it is really a good place if you want to pick any new game up. I will say thought that the one downfall is that for some reason some of the games that you would expect to drop never do and they just sit on the shelf for god knows how long. Nice pickup on RE4 my best was Wario Ware: Touched which I got for 4 bucks and sold back for 12 talk about profit.Originally Posted by roushimsx
