Halo 3 Multiplayer Open Beta: Online NOW

Been playing this for a while now and its o.k. I know its just a beta but it just seems too much like Halo 2. The new weapons are cool though like the chaingun but for the life of me I cant find the damn laser. Other people have no problem finding it because I have been shot with it and the spike grenades are fun. Ilike sneaking up on people and sticking it on thier back.

Does the beta let you go splitscreen on Live with another player? I haven't had anyone over to try it yet.

Finally finished downloading it last nite. Got up early and played for about an hour and I like it so far. Feel free to hit me up when I'm on, usually nights and weekends.

While it does need tweaking, the game does seem a bit more balanced. I noticed that the radar is much more responsive this time around. I'm happy that the shotgun is actually viable for someone other than the host. I also found that the sniper rifle is a little easier to get into, but that could be due to the fact that the higher resolution makes it easier to see a noggin for shootin' clearly. However, I think that spiker is a little too powerful personally, and the dual wields for that gun are EVERYWHERE. They must be really testing it out.

Dual wielding spiker's are absolutely lethal. I was thinking the same thing...they must be testing them out, there's just too many sitting around.

Yes it does, either as a guest or with thier own account if they have one.

I for one am enjoying this game a ton. Far superior to Halo 2, I could go into the reasons but most of them have been discussed around the internet already.

One thing though, the graphics are actually pretty nice in this game. After all the bad talk I expected them to be worse but for a beta it looks quite good.

I was just on gamespot.com I was watching the
Movie Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta Premiere Event and saw a glimpse of the 129.00 legendary helmet set man it looks awesome nice and shiny. I am going to preorder mine tomorrow.
