Awesome, thanks for telling me that, I'm updating right now.

Thanks to this, I can quickly see that it is 14 degrees where my sister lives.
Sucks to be her.
Ah, using this forecast channel, I note that it is 37F in Cleveland, and 80F and sunny by my parents.
Those bastards.
Making the world turn with my Wii is something I've always dreamed of.
Am I crazy here or does this seem like a cool but totally useless Wii feature that Nintendo can tout? I can hit weather.com or use the 4 different weather only stations on my extended Comcast digital cable before this loads. It has been very Nintendoized, which I like...but seriously. This is just kinda strange and unecessary even if I liked seeing the blue light pulsating when I got up this morning.
Anyone else feel this way?
well I thought it was cool, but I have a complaint. the forcast information isn't updated enough. I logged on at 2pm and the current temperature was last current at 6 am, not very useful to me. Maybe this is just a first day jitter type thing but if my current temputure is always 8 hours behind this thing will be useless.
I like it. I work outdoors and its nice to have a heads up. I used to check by phone but that is slower than the Wii and starting up the pc in morning seems more tedious. And I don't watch tv so that wasn't an option I considered, plus waking up family in morning. Oh well to each their own.
I found out this morning as my Wii blue light was on and check the message which was from Nintendo informing of this and allowing the update.
My only problem with it is the frequency in which it updates. The weather for my area was updated last some nine hrs. ago.

Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

My dear friends who can't see outside their world, allow me to lay out my scenario.
I wake up at 5am to go to work, which is over an hour drive either direction. I take my shower, get dressed, pour my coffee, and turn on my wii. WIth just a click of a few buttons I can see if my wife left me any messages on the message board. Specifically, to see what instructions she left for me to complete throughout my day. Generally, they end with a kiss (she's a sweet girl). After which I click on over and see what the weather is like outside, before stepping outside of my nicely climatized home. Then I check the weather for where I am driving, so I know if I will have to deal with the snow or crazy ass rain. Oh, nice day today. I guess I know how to dress, and what I need to do for the day. Only thing that could start my morning off a little more perfect, is if I had a rundown of the latest news, that way I know what people will be tlaking about at work. Oh My! What's this? A News Channel Also!? Thank you Nintendo, for becoming the central device for doing all of this with the ease, of a remote control.

I just want to second what JJNova said. I think some people miss the point; the Wii is also for non-games; so adding channels that support small helper applications is a just a cool idea. My wife and daughter love the forecast channel and that is what the Big N is going for. I can't wait to see what other nifty channels will be appearing in the future. I also liked the fact that the Wii glows blue to show something cool has been added. Bring it on N!

Can you dig it, yes I can.
I checked the weather on my wii the first thing this morning, and it didn't involve me getting out of bed, turning on the computer, waiting 3 minutes for it to boot up, go to a weather site, and see what it's going to be like today.
I can see this being a handy feature for me.
