I've searched the rarity guide and see no specific reference to Sega's "Super Wide Gear" for the Game Gear. It was a popular product, from what I remember, and I'm pretty sure it was first party.

While I can't comment on its popularity, I'm fairly sure it was released officially by Sega.

I have one and it is first party. Still have the box, even. (I think).
