Default Odyssey 200 hookup (have read other threads)

I'm sorry to post again on this topic which has almost been beaten to death, but I'm wondering if my Odyssey 200 doesn't have a different RF connector than others. I read that a phono-to-F adapter should work, but no luck. Also read that inside the unit I should be able to unscrew the current cable and replace with one that has a type F connector on both ends, but the current cable is soldered into place. Here's a couple photos to work with. Thanks for any help.

This is my first post, but you all have helped me a lot already with my SMS, NES, and ColecoVision, so... many thanks!

Yeah, that looks like Magnavox's typical RF-cable. If that cable is soldered in place on the inside of the console, you'll have to either:

    Obtain a Magnavox switch box
Desolder the existing cable & replace with a new one
Chop off the end and solder an RCA jack in it's place

Some Magnavox consoles do have RCA jacks on the inside, making it a little easier to change to a standard cable.

Get the magnavox RF box. I have a Odyssey 4000 mint, with the box. I share that box with my O2. I thought I got lucky when I found the latter in the box too, but no rf module inside, what a pisser.
If you are solder-savvy, have at it. I'm not in no way able to do something like that.
I have two basic food groups, fast and frozen.

I'm finally getting around to tackling this. Can I solder a regular coax cable into place in the console? Or do I have to put in an RCA cable then use my little RCA to coax converter?

    thanks again
