Default Street Fighter 2 games on the PSX/PS2

Is it me or the Controls on the SF2 Games doesn't respond like they should..Like Ken/Ryu/Akuma Dragon Punch on SSF2T..I could pull off 5 Dragons in a row on the Saturn..But I'm having trouble pulling 5 in a row on the Playstation, btw I'm using the PS2 Saturn Controller

Well, I can tell you that the control in the PS1 version of Street Fighter Zero/Alpha 3 is off. I don't mean the controller, I'm talking about the console's reaction to your commands. It seemed like it was unresponsive or laggy. I've played every single SF game on almost every console they've been available on, and with the exception of the handheld versions, the PS1 versions seemed to have a little trouble.
On the other hand, Alpha Anthology and other games on the PS2 are very responsive, haven't noticed any issues whatsoever.

I actually didn't have too much of a problem with the sontrols. The original dual shock controllers are much easier to use than the newer because they are bigger. Only think I hate is H Punch being at top left. So of course the saturn controller is better.

But as far as SF2 on PS2 I didn't have any problems entering combinations.

To me the problem always comes with moving with out using a joystick. Its not the same as the arcade even with an analog controller. I guess in theory 2D fighters were meant for the arcade. Though I continue to play them on consoles and will continue to till the day I die.
Looking to buy any Criterion movies that I don't already have.

I notice this back when I first got Streetfighter 2 Collection. I noticed it more when I played Super SF2 Turbo.

I've noticed that controller lag with other PS1 collections, such as the Gradius and Parodius collections. The original arcade versions do have a noticeable amount of lag, but it seems worse on the PS1.
I have a feeling that it could have something to do with the internals of the controller itself; when I use PSX controllers on my PC with various PS-to-USB adaptors, there's so much lag that I can't stand using them for any games except RPGs and such. However, the lag is so small that my friends don't notice it; only people like me who rely heavily on controller response do.
Reminds me of the whole issue of lag with wireless mice...some people notice it, most don't.
