While I have the European version, I know it works with the Japanese version online, thus I would assume it also works with the American version.

I'll have to locate my friend code this weekend (don't have my copy on me). Since I've beaten all the puzzles on it, it would be nice to have some other reason to play it. It also forced me to replay Mario's Picross (which I have, also, since beaten).

This game is great, and at $20 no less... I love that Nintendo keeps prices reasonable.
