Default Is it the end for In The Groove?

I just recently read this while looking stuff up on In The Groove:

    "Press Release
    October 18, 2006

Konami Corporation, developer of the Dance Dance Revolution(R) video dance game, and Roxor Games, Inc., developer of In The Groove(R) dance games, today announced the mutual settlement of the litigation between the parties in the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Texas. Under the terms of the settlement, Konami has acquired the intellectual property rights to the In The Groove(R) dance game franchise. It was further agreed as a part of the settlement that Roxor would respect Konami’s intellectual property rights."

What will happen to ITG? Will Konami lame it out like DDR? Don't get me wrong, I like DDR but ITG is better in my opinion.

I mean it was to be expected ITG may be better, but you cant stop the DDR kids from playing at the mall every weekend. Thats were the power of DDR really comes from. I have not played ITG though whats it like?
Looking to buy any Criterion movies that I don't already have.

It pretty awesome, if you like DDR you'll definately like this game. In my opinion, the grading system is better in ITG cuz like in DDR, I can never get a AA. Also there are mines in ITG, if u step on them your life depletes. A lot of stuff are cool in that game. Also, the songs are great.

They might take a little from ITG and add it to DDR, but I think that legal move was a way to stop anyone from getting a real head of steam behind them and toppling DDR as the de-facto standard.
RIP bargora, you will be greatly missed. That is how we do things on Giedion Prime.

If Konami is smart, they can make a lot of money off ITG, since it has a very large fan-base. Like there's enough DDR editions out already, so releasing one with ITG features in it isn't going to improve DDR. Actually, I think it would make the DDR fanboys mad if they did that. Supposely, ITG 3 was suppose to be released in the future as well as ITG 2 home version but idk about that now.

Yeah, I read about this a while ago. I was really looking forward to ITG2 but no way that's going to come out on PS2 now (or ITG3 arcade). Bums me out because I like ITG allot more than DDR anyway.

Oh well, at least we still have that bug-filled beta version of ITG2 to play. No way in hell Konami is going to continue the ITG series though.

I would expect you'll never see any ITG again. Konami will likely just sit on it. The only reason they bought it was probably to stop it from being made.
I only need 2 more NES games (US)!
