wii play 49.99 at best buy. They had about 5 copies. Someone else bought one the same time I did.
Hooray! Here's this week's finds:
Tecmo Bowl cart
Shivers 2, both CDs are fine - $1
Wing Commander Prophecy Gold Edition, all 4 CDs are fine (jewel case is damaged though) - $2
Gabriel Knight Mysteries (missing the soundtrack CD ) - $1
TMNT 1 and 2, both boxed but with ratty boxes, for a buck each.
That game thing? I got it for a buck, I have no idea what it is but it's mint so yeah.
All of that for two bucks.
Wing Commander Academy - one buck.
Starfire Lightblaster gun - two bucks. I haven't tested it yet. (Edit: Tested, works perfectly! It's got something inside, though - sounds like a piece of the gun's case, next to the trigger, broke off and is rattling inside.)
I also bought a copy of Rayman for Windows, but I can't find it at the moment.

Negative, negative! We have a Wildcat destabilization of the ship's fusion core!
I went to the only Gamerush within 100 miles of me (Blockbuster game store, for those who don't have one around), and found out they were having a 50 percent off sale on some new games.
I picked up (all new):
- Lego Star Wars II (XBox 360) - $25
- Mortal Kombat: Deception Kollector's Edition (XBox) - $10
- Unreal Championship (Xbox) - $3
I've also been working on doing some organization of my game stuff, so yesterday I bought one of those storage systems that's meant to hang on a closet door, which I'm using to hold all of my controllers and other accessories. The area around my consoles looks a whole lot cleaner now...
What a great way to kick off a month.
First off, I hung out with Sarkenobi for a little bit in the afternoon and we hit up Stuff and a EBGames. Didn't get anything at EB, but I did manage to get something at Stuff:
NES:
Abadox (cart only) - $1.48
After we parted ways, I decided to hit up a couple more places. I wound up visiting two Goodwills and a CD/Game Exchange. At the first Goodwill, I found a black PS2 DualShock 2 controller for $2.99. That was pretty nice since I've been wanting to get another PS2 controller to replace one that broke last year. Now I have two again, and it couldn't have happened at a better time since I have a friend coming over tormorrow and we'll actually be able to play some multiplayer PS2 if she wishes.
The next stop was the CD/Game Exchange, where I got the following:
NES:
Crystalis (cart only) - $2.50
Fantasy Zone (cart only) - $2.50
Genesis:
David Robinson's Supreme Court (cart only) - free
NBA Live '96 (cart only) - free
NFL '95 (cart only) - free
The Genny carts were in a free box near the door that usually only has promo posters, old concert flyers, and the like. Couldn't turn them down. Also, Fantasy Zone is my first unlicensed NES cart.
At first, it seemed like the second Goodwill had nothing for me, and with my other finds of the day I wouldn't have been bummed. Overpriced Genesis sports games, bare Genny 2 and PlayStation units, and even a first party white Dreamcast controller priced at $39.99 (WTF?). But then as I was going through the game guides in the book section, I spotted an Earthbound Official Nintendo Player's Guide for 49 cents.
That will go great with the Earthbound cart I got for $4 in 2004.
Finally, late last night (so it technically was March), I was doing some cleaning and was going through some junk, and I found the SNES mouse pad that came with my original copy of Mario Paint. I thought I lost that years ago.

That game thing is a programmable Master Mind game. With over 1 million possible combinations! And sound! And so on :-) I assume it's from Germany, as the writing is in German. IIRC you're in the States, so it has traveled quite a bit :-)
I could tell you more with some better pictures, as the small writing is unreadable to me :-)
First find of March for me. Where in time is Carmen Sandiego CIB for NES. I know it's not that rare but it's the first one i've seen in the wild.
Yesterday, I bought a Xbox 360 HD DVD Player. $196 W/O Tax. It's hard to believe how good the picture quality is.
Picked up Grandia for PS1 without the book yesterday for $7.00.
Well, I know that now.
Seriously though, the box has English and German instructions - so who knows why the hell it ended up in Calexico of all places. (Then again, I've bought Scandinavian stuff here, so eh.) The English instructions have a Pressman trademark on them. Totally weird.
Not a bad day I must say...
When I got home I found a Play-Asia package waiting for me, with goodies from their recent Chinese New Years sale.
Legend of Starfi - Complete
Dialhex - Complete (LOVE that box!)
New Super Mario Bros Sound Drops ('Miss' and 'Clear')
Then at Best Buy I picked up Rave Master for $10 because, well, it was ten bucks (and I was a bit sore that I completely missed out on the $1.99 sale). Then I stopped at Goodwill and found the same SNES Madden carts that have been collecting dust for the past month in the game bin. I start to leave, but happen to glance into the VHS bin and I find
Tiny Toons Cartoon Workshop (Complete) - $3
The box is a bit beat up, but I was surprised to find the cart was in pristine shape, as well as all of the paperwork (including warranty card)!
Just some stuff in the mail today.
DOA Ultimate Wall Scroll from agbulls to lazy to take a pic so I grabbed one from Ebay
PS lot $15 shipped (Ebay) came in Ex. condition.
not particularly "finds", but I got these
March continues to be a great month for me (and it is only day 2!)
Picked up today:
Brand new, everything inside unopened and still in its original wrap - NES Advantage! 10 bucks!
5 new, sealed and mint Seaman for the Dreamcast. 3 dollars each.
Typing of the Dead - dreamcast, new.
Suikoden II (loose) 3.33 (gamecrazy 3 for 10)
Point Blank 1 - shrinkwrap taken off but otherwise everything inside is sealed. $10.
Gameboy F-1 Race - new in box. 5 bucks.
Zelda Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons and Guide for both - 10 bucks.
and a bunch of other random stuff.
pictures coming eventually....
PS:
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 (C $2)
I didn't realise they made a PS2 release, I'm thinking about trading this one in for it.
