I imported a 220 model CD-i from the US a few months ago which cost me a lot of money. when it arrived and I hooked it up i found that the cd drive wouldnt close on it its on, it needed to be forced for it to close the last inch otherwise it would just automatically eject again. I was using it for a while with this problem then one day i press the eject button and the drive is eject but one half of it was missing. I presume it broke off somehow and is inside the console. now Im stuck with this giant broken console and I dont know what to do. Ive been advised on a cd-i forum to super glue it back together but i thought id ask here for a second opinion. should I attempt to do-it-myself or should I take it into a philips repair centre? do you think it will cost a fortune? id rather get it fixed properly then do the job dodgily myself even if it costs a bit extra.
