Default Commodore re-entering the PC market

    http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/06/co...nd-gaming-pcs/

I'd buy one, seeing as how I still have my C64...

Oh what a happy day for retro gamers everywhere!

I think it will just be another PC in the line. Not a own Commodore OS, own hardware etc. I guess they just built together some high-end PCs and put their name on it like everyone else. Not hating it tho, but i dont think it will be anything special either :\

I agree, I am not sure this will be much more than an old friend and nostalgia trip instead of an awesome PC

Yup, probably Commodore in name only, seeing how the assets have gone everywhere after their demise. Why buy a PC in Commodore clothing when you could just make a case badge of the Commodore chickenhead logo or the Boing ball? I mean, even making a case with a plexiglass chickenhead would be cheaper than buying a whole new PC.

True - but ehy say they are gonna make"'high-end PC's for gamers (intel or AMD)" I don't care that it won't be commodore made CPU and OS... I'm just glad the Commodore brand is getting back in the game.

I think as CartCollector mentioned above, it will be in name only. I think Shane Monroe referred to this sort of thing as "Name Whoring" in a past Retro Gaming Radio episode.

Does anyone else remember the period in the 90's when Commodore introduced a PC clone line?
