Help, I cant beat the last boss in Silpheed!

I just reached the last boss, and i got no idea how to beat him. Every time he use that huge green shot, i´m dead for good. Can someone tell me how to beat him?. I think i have tried all possible combinations of weapons and udgrades, but no use...

I´m talking about the Mega-CD version of cource.

you need a more powerful weapon, i had the same problem when 1st got to the final boss when sega cd was still next gen .
i used the fan shot for both left and right. i forget the real name. it seemed to be the most powerful but its flaw was it never real shot straight forward.

Sorry for the late reply. I finally made it, after fighting that boss for several hours. That boss was almost impossible!
