    Default PSP screen scratches

Having just bought one of these and already having put a couple of scratches on it on top of the few that were already on there since I bought it used, has anyone else found that its easy to make a scratch on? Also does anyone have any tips on how to fix it? Do I have to buy a new screen or would a new cover do well enough? Finally is there any way to tell if I need to replace the screen or if there is something else/ cheaper I can do.
    Thanks

I've had mine for well over a year and no scratches in sight. You always could replace the screen if it bothers you that much, or just try and buff them out.

    Default Buffing

Depending on how deep the scratches are you could try turtle wax. That will eliminate hairline scratches, just be careful not to get the car wax inbetween the buttons and the cover. An exposed screen like the PSP is very easily prone to scratches. I used a Hori and Martin Fields (2 psp) screen protectors on mine.

My PSP has some scratches too, that are kind of irritating. You don't always notice them, but in the back of your mind, you know that they are there. I'm thinking about getting another PSP faceplate. Basically, the top part of the PSP. Sometimes the scratches are just on the top of the faceplate, and none of the scratches are on the actual screen behind the faceplate. Of course, you probably won't know for sure until you swap them out. A new faceplate is about $15 plus shipping.

I bought my PSP used, but it was in pretty flawless nick. It still had the plastic covering thing on the screen that handhelds come with..you know, that tiny thin piece of plastic.

Well, I left mine on. So pretty much no scratches for me, and I hardly notice the plastic film covering. Whatever smudges I get can be wiped right off.

I messed my GBA screen up pretty chronic, and here in Australia you couldn't get replacements. So yeah, definitely learnt from that one.

Car wax (mentioned above) is the way to go, I think. It won't get rid of anything deep, but it will make a difference otherwise.

I've been lucky, so far. I used those stick-on scratch guards from Mad Catz, and the worst problem I had with the PSP was midday glare on the screen. Otherwise, my screen's lookin' good.
Gimmie a game, I'll either love it, or pimp-smack it.
