Why do people with closed minds always open their mouths?
you gotta go with the final fantasy series, DDR, Legend of Dragoon, Metal Gear Solid, Driver 2. those are good. most of them have the green greatest hits labels on them, and so they will be about 10-20 bucks.(and chrono trigger.)
Somebody once told me to get a life.
I told them I sold it for money to buy video games.
I enjoyed the Spyro series, Chrono Cross, Breath of Fire III, Star Ocean second story, lots of fighting games, tomb raider 2 is actually good, omm... Harvest moon, mega-man x4, Gran Turismo 2, Xenogears, Final Fantasy 9 was the best of that series on the PSone.. Twisted Metal (except 4 whew.. stinky) Tempest X (you must own this if you own a ps1)
Fear your thoughts because they become your words
Fear your words because they become your actions
Fear your actions because they become your habits
Fear your habits because they become your character
Fear your character because it becomes your destiny
Therefore: Thinking and nurturing positive thoughts, at any point in your life, can change your destiny.
Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night
Strider 2
Metal Slug X
R-Types
R-Type Delta
Strikers 1945
Tenchu: Stealth Assassins
Tenchu 2: Birth Of The Stealth Assassins
I like these games
MGS (of course)
Destruction Derby 2
Driver
Final Fantasy # (just don't get VIII)
Medal of Honor
Bubble Bobble
Intelligent Qube
Chrono Cross
Crash Team Racing
G-Police (Hard as hell with brutal draw in but the missions were great)
Most of these games I still have. I just sold Intlelligent Qube on ebay.
Among them you should try Suikoden and Vandel Heart. Also if you're a fan of NES Blaster Master, you might want to check out Blaster Master for PSX.
And if you don't have it for another platform, don't forget Tony Hawk 2, which is very affordable as it's part of the Greatest Hits list.
You also can't go wrong with Castlevania Chronicles (a remake of the NES original) and Symphony of the Night (arguably the best title of the series).
Resident Evil series and Silent HIll are must haves as well.
Spyro is very enjoyable, I also agree with Puzzle fighter (we just sold one on ebay for over $60 but I wanted to keep it, it's FUN), harvest moon, final fantasy (I liked 9)

My favorites:
Tekken 3
Tenchu stealth assasins ( I like the first part better than the second).
Vib Ribbon (not released in the USA, but I'm sure you can get an import for cheap)
Need for Speed 3
Tomb Raider 1,2, 3
Vigilante 8 (especially great in 2 player mode)
Syphon Filter
Final Fantasy 7
Colin McRae rally
V-Rally
Medal of Honor
Medievel (way too short, but lots of fun)
Two excellent PS One games that have yet to be mentioned here are Vagrant Story and Valkyrie Profile. Both are decidedly complicated RPGs (or action/RPGs, perhaps), but they're well worth your attention.
I'd also recommend Guilty Gear, Einhander, Threads of Fate, the Lunar remakes, and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment.
Street Fighter The Movie...featuring the awesome Kylie Minogue
