    Default Nashville Craigslist Arcade Games

Just an FYI for you folks closer to Nashville than I am:

    http://nashville.craigslist.org/gms/292841800.html

Don't know exactly what a "Nintendo stand-up golf arcade game" would be, but thought someone might want to go check it out this weekend (3/17).

And who has an extra $1000 lying around? Wish I did.

And one final listing that's kinda old, but maybe still good:

All right youngens, bath time. Cover up your eyes and drop your britches! Who wants wax?

I emailed the person about the Stand Up Nintendo Golf arcade game.
It's a Vs. Nintendo arcade machine. He says it still works, he is the second owner, the original owner told the guy selling it he won it at a Golf Tournament in the 80's. He is selling it for $250...

Hope this helps anyone that might be interested in Middle Tennessee.

Update: The guy selling the VS. Golf game sent me some pictures of it, if anyone is interested.. Just let me know and I will email them to you.

Is a Tron arcade cab really worth $1000? I remember seeing something on TV about an arcade auction company that went town to town selling their wares, and a guy paid $250 for a Tron cabinet. The reporter asked him why he bought it, and he said "Dude, it's Tron!!"

I'll pass. I've already got a Vs. cab. And I only paid $150 for it.

And $1000 is waaaaaaaaaay too much for a Tron.

Depending on condition, possibly. It's probably one of the top 10 games to own because of its cabinet artwork, its unique shape, the movie tie in, and the four games themselves. Since the game uses a joystick with a fire button and a spinner it's difficult to play in MAME (and even if you get it working it never feels right). The game itself has multiple boards, which doesn't mean anything except there's "more to go wrong" which seems to drive prices up even higher. I have seen incomplete and non-working cabinets go for $300-$400, and there's on on eBay right now for almost $800. While it does sound pretty expensive for a single game, I could see one in perfect condition potentially bringing in a grand.

The only way I see a Tron being worth $1000 is if it's a cocktail version in supermint condition.
