    Default Phantasy Star Universe Troubles

So I bought a used copy of Phantasy Star Universe a few days back. I went to play it today and for some reason the game does not load. I put the game in, power up the PS2 (slim PS2) and the only screen that comes up is the one that says Playstation and then the screen goes black and it doesn't sound like the CD is spinning. This is the only game that does this, and I tried it on my brothers PS2 and it does the exact same thing.

Any ideas as to what the problem may be?

    Thanks in advance.

I will end up doing that. I just found it extremely weird that it does that. There are no scratches on it and it is not a bootleg either.

anyone else have this problem with this game or any other one of the newer games? I've heard of the older games not working on PS2, but this I found strange.

nope, all of my games work fine. The people that sold you your game was probably trying to screw you (like so many other people). I'd probably just chalk it up as a loss and go on with the rest of your life KNOWING that you wasted precious time and money on something that is worthless. I hope you don't lose any sleep.
