Default Should I Sell on Ebay or DP?

i recently decieded to sell all my classic video game stuff. Ive noticed lately that ebay isnt so great anymore for selling big console lots. The only problem with DP is that i dont feel like shipping out 400 different things to 300 people i prefer to sell in lots according to console. Let me know what everyone thinks..ill be selling some prototypes and other things on DP for sure though.

Sell here. You might end up getting more money at E-Bay but you won't have to pay fees here.

I think you would make more dough selling here if you sell things peice by peice instead of lots. Since you have so much only list a certain amount at a time and just keep updating your thread when you feel like listing more items.

If you've got NES stuff, and would be asking fairly lower prices for it, sell it here...I'm looking to buy a bit.

Just sell it in lots on DP, you might not get as much interest, but lots to sell here too!

I was trying to sell a huge lot of systems and games, probably over $800 worth if I had sold it all individually but I was able to sell it as 1 lot on here for $600, sure I could have made more but I didn't want the hassle of going to the post office 100 times.

One more thing no matter how many people on here tell you that a lot won't sell just keep at it and it will in the end.

I dunno. I still can't sell my stupid Genesis game lot. I've been at it for months, too. ._.

Also expect some super lowballs too. IMO The great irony of DP is that it's 'rare and valuable' if your'e selling. However, nobody wants to pay anything for that muffler.

    Hex.

Something I have found is that some people say "Yeah I'll take that!" and then string you along for awhile, and then the deal falls through. It can be frustrating, but I prefer to sell on here.

If you decide to sell in a lot, try to stick to it. What often happens is people will ask you to break up the lot so that they can buy the rare stuff and leave behind the commons, which are then hard to sell to a community that is more likely to already have the commons.

It may be a good call to try to sell the commons in an ebay lot and the more desireable items to people in a collector community. The only annoyance may be lowball offers which you will get even if you are careful about setting all of your prices. If you set up a list and just want people to "make you an offer" you'll get a lot more lowballs than you would if you listed some prices.

The two big advantages in selling in a collector community over ebay:

    1. You're more likely to deal with cooler people in a collector community. and
    2. You can also set up some sweet trades if you're not just trying to liquidate everything for cash.
