Sometimes it amazes me for how much a Mega Man X3 or a Castlevania Dracula X goes nowadays. At first sight it's pretty insane, at second sight it's rationally explainable.

One of the big advantages of having experience and knowledge about videogames is the ability to recognize good games (independently from individual preferences and hardware restrictions) and to make educated guesses about future demand/supply processes of current games and hardware. The latter goes in particular for experienced collectors.

Looking back at and applying the conditions which make games/hardware sought after collectibles today, for which of the more recently released games/hardware/accessories (let's say 5 years) the demand will be higher than the supply and why?

In short: Among the newer games/hardware, what are the in-demand collectibles of the future ?
