Forgive me if this has been posted before, but my buddy and I discovered an item duplication trick in the Xbox360 version of Borderlands that isn't listed on Gamefaqs! It requires a friend, so find a pal to play with first.

Here's how it works:

Say your friend has an item you want, but he isn't willing to give it to you. Start a single player game, then invite your friend to your game. Now when you both spawn, don't move too far from the starting point. If you trigger an autosave pole, the trick won't work.

Have your friend toss his coveted item(s) on the ground. Don't pick it up yet...just tell him to quit his game immediately. Now pick it up. You've got it, so save your game if you want to. The catch here is that since your friend didn't save his game after tossing his item, his file won't remember that he dropped it. As such, when he starts his game again (or rejoins yours) he'll find the item back in his inventory!

This is a useful thing to do with highly valuable items because you can sell them for a quick buck, or use them as leverage in trades with other players. If you're hardcore, you can get the Mad Moxie's underdome DLC and store your duplicated items in the item bank for a rainy day.

It shocks me how easy this was to do, and I'm pretty surprised that Gearbox didn't think of this during development. Whatever. More cash for me!!!

Enjoy, guys!
