So you boot up both versions and your immediate response is -- Yuck, the SuperGrafx version has a rather less forgiving palette, and the sounds are off!

Well, it's been noted that the SuperGrafx version has more level details than the Genesis version, such as the tree stump-bridges and other details seen around the end of level one.

The Sega designers weren't working on a level playing field, though...their version uses a 640 kilobyte ROM and the SuperGrafx version uses a 1 Megabyte ROM! I recently read that somebody believes both used a 2 MB ROM -- that's certainly not true.
