Famicon clone Dendy Jr : Help !

I recently got a Dendy Jr (Famicom clone from Russia) but it didn't come with a power supply. Would anyone know what is the power voltage for this clone ? (nothing's on the console itself gives a clue about it). My guess is 10v but I'm not sure.
If not, would someone know what was the voltage needed for a Japanese Famicom ? was it 10v too ?

A random famiclone of mine uses 10v if that helps.

I believe Russia uses DC power, not AC, like America. 50hz too, not 60, like ours. Best be careful. Where do you live?

The back of the console says AC, so I think this should be ok. About the 50hz/60hz, I though it was only an issue for anything with a motor inside, electronic equipement should be fine... isn't it correct ?...
I live in California, I think the console may not work even if I can get the right power though, I'm not sure, but I think it is PAL. However, I'm french and I'll be in Europe in a couple of month, I may take it with me to try it out...
I read many reviews saying the Dendy Jr felt really cheap, but it looks quite good, I though. The plastic is thick and it comes with solid controllers . I have a couple of other clones, like the PC Engine UFO, and the Dendy has an excellent quality compared to the other Chinese clone.

I don't think a power grid using DC would be feasible, though maybe that's why they lost the Cold War.

However, since lkermel will be getting a new adapter designed for whatever country he's from it doesn't really matter what Russia's standard is.

All the Famiclones that I've ever owned have come with 9v 500mA adapters. 10v won't make any difference, though; probably even up to 12v would be fine. Many Famicom-on-a-chip Famiclones that operate off batteries only require 3 AAs, which is 4.5v, so I'd really say that anything between 4.5 and 12v and providing at least 500mA will work.

I think America's first power grid was DC, but after Edison was no longer with us, his company started giving in to the growing standard of AC...but then my history may be way off.

I thought some of my PAL consoles were DC, but maybe I'm just f'd in the head.

But these guys are right...as long as you get the correct type of adapter, you should be ok in any country.

i always thought they switched to AC because it could go a further distance and keep a steady voltage than DC could.

yea i would go and look for a world power adaptor kit, usually have a bunch of funky looking plug things ina package.

How the hell could a power supply use DC and yet have a frequency?

I don't think it's uncommon for famiclones to use 5VDC. Mind the polarity. It would make sense for a Dendy to supply a SECAM-OST signal.
