i dont think they are going to pay....
No chance they pay... all the bidders but one are either 6 or 0 feedback... Shill big time. I got my copy with the guidebook for 16 bucks.
I'm sure he meant 51.00![]()

If you look at the bid history, the winner's first bid was just over 80 bucks. My guess is that he intended to win the aucton no matter what, and set his proxy bid *really* high (over $5000). Someone else apparently got the same idea, and bid $5000, pushing the winner's bid to $5100.
(Or, there could be a bunch of shill bidding going on -- I mean, there are a lot of 0 feedback bids in that auction....)
Moral of the story: don't set your proxy bid to an amount that you can't possibly pay, as someone might (whether intentionally or accidentally) call your bluff.![]()
I think some people just decided to wreck the dude's auction - kids these days
If someone had done that to me I'd actually push the issue in court to get the money out of the family - at least it would be a nice distraction and get the little bastard to take these things seriously!
Hey, 5 grand is 5 grand.
I'll take 3 copies please. Overnight mail. kthx.
My first PC games and favorite game of all-time.
Hello everyone I'm dugongatee and was the seller of this auction.
When I saw that my auction closed at $5,100 for FFVII GH - I was pissed.![]()
I thought it was punk kids or something screwing up my auction.
Damaniel's scenario is correct. The winner was a newbie with (1) feedback that set a really high proxy bid. A second newbie that won one of my other auctions (FF7 disc 3 only GH - which he never paid) placed a high proxy bid of $5,000.
In short the winner contacted me afraid I would take her to court. She had been trying to find this game for her son. (could have just bought multiple "but it now" listings for cheaper) (?)![]()
Taking every angle of this into consideration. I played nice guy.
We agreed a bid of $85.02 + $7.50SH - it's not 5G's!!! - but still great for a GH version.
She paid, I shipped, end of story. ( i feel so dirty)![]()
Wonder why Bidder #1 placed a SECOND bid of $5100?Originally Posted by Dugongatee
$85 is a nice deal for you the seller.
Did this game suddenly become rare or something? $85 for the GH version is a STEAL for you. I guess I got lucky as hell to get mine (non GH) for $16 about 6 months ago.
I guess the buyer really doesn't know the value of the game. I thought the GH version pulled $40, and the standard $60.Originally Posted by madden821
Still, $80 for it was a great price... and I'm glad the seller was understanding.![]()
I'm not so sure $80 was a great deal. What are the ebay fees on a 5k sale??? or are you getting the fees back?
The fee for $5,100 was $92 - go figure.
The fee was adjusted after a filed an unpaid item dispute for the price of $5,100 with a mutual agreement between me and the buyer.
Nice move on your part, but 85$ wow, you got a good sell on that one, bet she was happy though!Originally Posted by Dugongatee

$85? Holy Fuck. O.O
Wow! I had no idea that Final Fantasy VII sold for such a high price, either version. The two local EB Games here have a bunch of these... cha ching!
Looks like I'm going out to buy them now!
