Default FS/FT: CustomArcade Home Arcade controller

If anyone is interested, I have one of the original three CustomArcade controllers ever made. As most of you know, CA went out of business due to a lack of venture funding and was never able to mass produce these. This unit is hand-made and is in EXCELLENT, WORKING condition.

Here is a link to the specs and pics I have posted:

    http://www.snipercade.com/ca/index.htm

Click on each picture to see an enlarged view with more specific detail.

I would like to trade this for a GBA Turbo Advance 128MB. I would ask for the 128MB cart, software and link cable.

If you would rather buy this controller, I am asking $150.000 USD + shipping and insurance.

Dude that thing rocks. I'd LOVE to get a better look at it... especially that vibration sensor. I bet I could build one, too... it's just wood with laminate...

After a little research, his price is more than reasonable, it's a damn steal. The controller card inside that thing alone retails for $120... if you figure in the cost of the arcade control components, plus the time it would take you to fabricate the case and configure the card... you're talking a lot more than $150 in both materials and time.

This controller was going to retail for $350 when CA was drafting their business plan (I know, I wrote the BP).

Most controllers out there today (X-Arcade, Hot Rod, etc) go for ~ $150.00 or more and do not have many of the features in this controller.

I own an X-Arcade, HotRod SE & HotRod Advanced (w/trakball) and none of them have a true, dedicated 4-way ball controller. None of them have the "Tulip" sticks for BZone style games. None of them have the Pinball "experience" with the "tilt" sensor.

So, yes, I agree that asking $150 is more than reasonable. Frankly, I'm not looking for cash... I really want the GBA kit...

It is a Compact Flash GBA cart that allows you to load ROM images into it and then play those on a real GBA. Very cool tool...

How much would that thing cost to ship to 02762? I'm still awfully tempted...

    I love the USPS site...

While trying to calc shipping, I got the following:

Select a Mail Service to continue.

    Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 8007000e'

    Server.CreateObject Failed

    /speed.asp, line 63

    Ran out of memory

    I'll try again later today.

Haha, don't sweat it. So long as it's not like $100, and it won't be, consider it bought... I've been planning on building my own very similar to that sucker anyway...

Twin Galaxies has been tracking videogame and pinball scores since 1981. We run the website and publish a book of world records.

I did, pretty cool... though the verification process sounds like a lot of work!
