... for the non observant, there's no number pad on either of the controllers
Brian
Wow, I looked at that twice before I noticed that! I thought you were trying to point out the NES RF switch or something!
With what I know of INTV internals in the controllers, it looks like the MPCB's are still there, and only the plastic layer of numbers is missing, which are purely cosmetic. Therefore these controllers very likely still work, though not too pretty. I have many spare numeric covers actually, for the Intellivision one controllers. Problem with this one, is that those INTV2 controllers are of a "snap together" design. Very hard to disassemble (for repairs) without destroying.
I may try to snipe this one, it's in my home town!

I had noticed that, but as omnedon said, it still works fine, probly plays even better since you don't have that damned crackly plastic in the way

Hey mattpfeil! You realize that you are asking me to help you scoop me of stuff right?
joking:
" yeah Sure! I go to place X on Wednesdays, and place Y and Z on Thursdays, so if you go on Monday and Tuesdays, you can make sure I find nothing!"
Seriously though, if you are willing to work together, I'd be happy to share what I've figured out so far. I live on the North end, so between the two of us, we could cover the city quite well. We could discuss each other's priority's and wants. Finders keeper's on real treasure, and we could tip each other off, when there was something the other wanted, as two sets of eyes. If you'd rather not work together, then I might be tempted to hold some things close to the vest.
Remove the nospam, and e-mail me at oldschoolgamerNOSPAM@shaw.ca, and let's talk. It would be cool to find someone around here who didn't think I was nuts collecting this stuff.
I e-mailed the seller about the INTV 2, asking him if it worked, and if local pick up was possible. His response was:
Don't feel bad icbrkr, I think his picture is pretty shitty myself. If I was selling one with a flaw that serious (and nearly unfixable) I 'd make sure it was clearly listed, and very visible. It's a questionable auction if you ask me.Pick up ..yes....I tested it and everything works fine....but with all old
electrical stuff for how long nobody knows.
