    Default Favorite Commodore 64 Music

In my opinion, Commodore 64 games had the best music out of all my systems. Like to me, they had a unique sound to it.

I have a couple (in no particular order)

    Last Ninja 1 & 2
    Nemesis the Warlock
    Main Frame
    Zak McKracken and the Alienminders
    Maniac Mansion
    Draconus
    Commando
IK + (which I thought was International Karate )
    Grand Monster Slam

    and a bunch of others.

The one that springs to mind for me is the one for Aliens, specifically the tune on the dropship level. I was really disappointed when I got the Apple II version and it didn't have any music.

Skate or Die had pretty cool tracks too.

some cool british music on c-64 (gotta give it to them, brits made some nice computer music)

    Savage (game totally sucked though)
    Delta
    Armalyte
    Last Ninja series
    Crazy Comets
    Game Over
    Wizball
    many more

System 3 and Thamalus usually had decent music overall

German stuff wasn't bad either, especially the Chris Hulsback (Rainbow Arts) music

Stateside, EA (Bards Tale) and Activision (for example Tas Times) usually had some good tunes.

Of course, the XL had some serious cool tunes too, eg the Gary Gilbertson stuff, EA, Activision, Mindscape. Even the brits managed to get some excellent tunes out of the XL (Gremlin Graphics, System 3, Tynesoft, English Software, Domark)

    Hubbard & Galway FTW

My faves would have to include:
Auf Weidersehn Monty (excuse the spelling if I got it wrong)
Last Ninja series (2 being the best IMO)
    Rambo First Blood
    Friday the 13th
GI Joe (yes I know it loops like every 15 seconds)
    Yie Ar Kung Fu
    Aliens

I know there are more I just can't think of them now. I always have a sidplayer at the ready in case I want to hear some C64 tunes. I'm such a dork.

I know that the thread was about music, but I loved the sound in Beach Head II also. Hearing the Allies scream MEDIC! never gets old.

Kaedesdesciple -"Hey! Don't Shoot Me!" Can't tell you how often that guy got shot just to hear those words.

    I like:
    Ghettoblaster
    California Games
    Micro League Wrestling
    Yie Ar Kung-Fu
    The Obligatory Last Ninja mention...

Anybody else ever notice that in the original Summer Games and Winter Games, they don't have the real Soviet national anthem? Was there a reason other than Cold War paranoia?

"Get that music out of there! Think of the children! Now we have to all watch Rocky IV again!"
