I think this was mentioned elsewhere but I'll ask. What's people's opinions of the rental-only game Stunt Racer 64 for the n64?

My Gaming Collection (Now at Google Drive!)
Far and away my favorite racing game on the N64. Some really, really nice and unique course designs with a fun-as-hell arcade driving model. The "high resolution mode" was unfortunately awful, though. What's the point of being in a higher resolution if you're just going to crop off portions of the visible area and make it a pain in the ass to race?
I'm looking forward to when it finally gets emulated so that I'll actually be able to snag some really nice, high res shots of it.
This is the first I have heard of this. Was this the only rental exclusive n64 game? Whats a good price to pay on ebay?
Other Rental Only games for N64:
Clayfighters 63 1/3 Sculptor's Cut
Cruis'n Exotica
International Superstar Soccer 2000
International Track & Field 2000
NFL Blitz Special Edition
Razor Freestyle Scooter
Seems like some copies have been failing to sell at $15... I believe I paid $8 for my copy and it was well, well worth it.
Stunt Racer 64 is an *AWESOME* game, unlike some of the other rental exclusives (Transformers, Clayfighter.) It really is one of the finest racers on the N64. I am really surprised it wasn't released but I guess the publisher just didn't see an profit in it. I LOVE this game. And it was from Midway... they could have easily used shitty graphics engine from many of their racers to power this game but instead it's a work of art.
Here's the complete list found by using the search function on this site...
BB Exclusives
Clayfighter 63 1/3: Sculptor's Cut
Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine (Blockbuster & LucasArts Exclusive)
NFL Blitz Special Edition
Razor Freestyle Scooter
Stunt Racer 64
Possible BB Exclusives, maybe not...
International Superstar Soccer 2000
International Track & Field 2000
Transformers Beast Wars - Transmetals
International Superstar Soccer 2000 was available at retail but *very* few copies were sold that way. Most of the copies you'll find are rentals.
There have also been claims that Transformers was sold at retail and that there are two boxes available, one without the BB label. The "stock photo" from Ebay for Transformers does not show a BB label but Ebay is not the best place for accurate info.
I also think that Track & Field was sold at retail... I swear I saw a sealed one once in a game store.
Clayfighter 63 1/3: Sculptor's Cut is generally regarded as the most difficult to locate N64 game, especially complete. Superstar Soccer 2000 can't be far behind.
Thanks for indulging my gaming habit when I was young, Dad. You were the best. I miss you. ~David Barnes 1926-2007~
I decided to pick this up on ebay thanks to your guys thoughts.

I just got this in the mail today. Pretty fun thus far. Since there's no manual, anyone had advice or tips on doing tricks, etc?

Are you sure Clayfighter is that rare ? Ive seen several in the wild.
If they made a movie out of your top five worst sins, what would it be rated?

I know someone that has a sealed Sculptors Cut. How much would one pay for it? What's the going price on 'em?
NintendoAGE - The best NES database engine available on the net!
My Collection - Well, kinda. One of these days I will actually get a pic of the whole collection and post it on there. Until then, I only have a few games in there with some additional collection info stuff.
stunt racer 64 wasn't a Blockbuster exclusive, a lot of rental stores carried it. I went into a local video store and they had a small rack of older games for sale. One of which was the game mentioned, and it had thier stickers on it. It still had the box and instructions too. I paid $10 for mine complete at the video store. I'd say the hardest thing to do would be to find a complete copy that doesn't have any tear marks or stickers on it (since it was rental only).
There are several cheats listed for the game on GameFAQs.com:

There's even a cheat for "blurry mode." Is it just me, or does anyone else find it comical that any N64 game would include a "blurry mode"?
Never played this game.
Is it a sequel or spinoff of Stunt Car Racer from the Commodore Amiga / C64?
