The wally-world down bye my house had 7 yesterday...
My local Wal-Mart had six on hand last night. I was stunned.
Wii is a R10
Seriously though, if your looking for one I'd say you definatly have a better chance looking at Wal-Mart/K Mart/ Target than GameStop/EB
Speaking of which, has anyone saw any used Wiis and GS or EB? I know I haven't.
(Looks over at entertainment center.)how hard is the wii to find?
Not very.
I don't think the Wii is that hard to find at all, I have seen so many Wii's in the last month that they are all over the place.

SUCCESS!! found one smack dab in a walmart in the middle of the country, who would have thought? it was their last one though.
I still never seen one. I haven't been looking religiously, and I have no intention ever lining up before a store opens, so maybe I could have found one by now if I were truly dedicated, but it is still definitely hard to find. The managers I talk to say they can get them on a weekly basis now, but they are gone within an hour or so.
Gamestop in Kingwood Texas had 25 yesterday... 8 today. Two people called for them while I was there so I'm assuming there is now 6 at most, maybe even all gone by now. Low traffic Gamestop at that. Demand does seem to be letting up a bit. I have a feeling it's gonna get bad again around November.

I go into my local Movie Gallery store once a week and one out of four visits I find one or two Wii's for sale. I have no plans to get one, so it doesn't matter to me if I have success finding one. I'm sure it thrills people in the neighborhood who have been waiting to get one, though.
I'm not going to buy one until I can just walk into a store and have them sitting there, which at this point might not be until after the holidays.
Maybe I'll get a PS3 first, which I never would've anticipated doing back at launch last year, but at least PS3's are available. It depends on whether or not Killzone comes out before the Wii is widely available.
I saw a Wii in a Toys 'R Us on launch day, and haven't seen one since. And I tend to hit electronics stores a lot, looking for cheap Xbox games. I also frequently hear soccer moms asking if the store has any "of that new Nintendo machine" in stock, even though the store might have a banner up saying "We have no Wiis in stock". Finding one in the Dallas area seems to be tough. Luckily, I don't really want one at the moment (until there's some better games available).
never seen any, until I walked in to Costco they had a palette full of wii's $329 each bundle came with extra wii mote and mario party 8
By the way mario party 8 sucked major ass!
why ?
Not wide screen
crappy graphics
seriously looks like they just had to rush to release it
Wii sports looked way better!
yes i have it hooked up to hdtv with component cables $29.99
maybe my 360 spoiled me!!!!!
I was with a friend last weekend, and on a whim he thought he'd get a Wii, so we went to Future Shop.
I actually talked him out of buying it, but they had them in stock. More than one.

Two Walmarts and a Target I go to don't ever have any...They look at me strange when I ask, like as if they've never seen one come in....All three of the stores don't even have an empty spot in thier video game display cases for Wii systems ..just the games...
Poking around in Target one day, after asking again for a Wii.. I overheard an employee tell a friend of his that he grabbs up the Wii's as soon as they come in(1-2 units)..and sells them on ebay..
Another female employee smiled at him listening to the convo, as if knowing all about it.. Then she looked up at me in a type of worry that I had overheard the conversation.
There is an Ebay seller in the town over from me who sells Wii's-in same town as the Target..He sells them for more then he paid but his latest end bid prices haven't been that much more then retail price.
I almost bid on one from him as Pick Up is an Option....But I keep spending the money I put to the side for it..
Toys R Us,after asking,an employee said to check thier flyer in the paper that they get them in-but they go really fast(the lady was nice and seemed helpful-more then i ever get)...They said I'd have to get there real early the day they have them to possibly get one.
That's a total waste of time for me though as Toys R Us is a bit of a drive to get to .. to have to chance getting one..I don't want it that bad now.
Gamestop..Lol..Two week, everytime I ask in store, they say two weeks....It's like a joke to them....I always feel when I ask them, they look at me like they have me by my balls and I don't like that.
Kmart, two stores near me..They suck so bad that thier electronics department it's a joke.Ask them about a Wii and it's like they never heard of the thing..(It's just due to the area)...The Kmarts around me have been declining ever since the openings of Walmarts..
Flea Market:vendor can get them, has them for $350.00
He also sells the PS3 there, marked way overprice..I said to him,but you "can' get the PS3 in stores..
CD shop near me sells the Wii for $479.00.(sign in window). He went down to $439.00,changed price on sign..
I went in the place for CD-Music in which I was amazed to see 80% of the place was filled with video games for sale..all the way down to SNES..His prices on New 360 games was better then Gamestop-= must go to him instead.
Upon asking his price for the Wii,(just curious)...He said $350.00 but he doesn't have any...Two weeks..
In Maryland,a friend I have down there near the track I race at said he could get me one at Retail...just I'm not going to be racing at that track until September again..(the drive-trip costs me$125-$150.00)
A friend in Cali says he sees them in stores all the time.
I really just wanted to walk into a store, pluck my cash on the table and buy one..just like the 360.
Still,I just can't see overpaying for a Wii..(though I did,but that's another story
