It's the Magnavox Odyssey, came out i think 1970.. if not, then the early 1970s.
Yeah, as said it's the Magnavox Odyssey. I did a report last year on the history of video gaming.

Additionally (shameless plug), I devote a full chapter to the system in Classic Home Video Games 1972-1984. Included is a complete Odyssey console biography, plus descriptions/reviews for every game for the system.

I beg to differ. Lots of posters on lots of message boards (including this one) have a signature they use with every post, whether it's a pithy quote, a silly aside, a saying of some sort, or a link to a website or a blog.
When I weigh in on a topic, my signature is part of my post, the same as with lots of other people. If I have recently posted a relevant article or review on my blog, I will sometimes make mention of it since classic gamers may be interested. I could simply post the article within the body of the message, but oftentimes there are pictures, and sometimes the articles are quite long.

Dude, they should have seriously put Kissinger and Nixon in their own reality/sit-com show. It would be like the odd couple.
Nixon: Is that chairman Mao on the phone?
Kissinger: Yes, but you can't speak to him, you're too drunk right now.
Thanks, bro! I appreciate the support.

Thanks to you, too, my friend. I hope Santa comes through!

I have a Magnavox Odyssey and I've always thought it was pretty cool, despite its primitivity. The way the early designers tried to compensate for lack of graphics and sound with colorful overlays and game pieces was very clever for the time--there was no precedent, so they were the ones blazing the trail.
Check out Mezrabad's excellent Chronogamer blog to read about his adventures of playing those Odyssey games with his son in the here and now:

I love my Odyssey, but have decided that it's time to sell it, and tried to do so, but without any luck, surprisingly. Oh well, I'll keep trying.
