Looks real to me. Not really of interest to me, but I'm sure some parents would love the thing (like my sister with her kids).![]()
Not sure if it'll sell well though. Which of course would kill it within a year.

Then there's the slight problem of kids being more intelligent than this seems to give credit for (the basic issue that makes me wonder if this is true or not): you can simply unplug the thing. If they've got some sort of deal where you can screw it on using the screw in the middle of a power outlet's faceplate...asking for somebody to get shocked. Pretty dumb, overall.
Maybe it's a replacement power cord? Then the kid goes out and buys another, or finds the old one (especially good if the parents have thrown it away in the trash).
I doubt this is real, because it's incredibly stupid and lame.
The Game Boy Player comes with some kind of built in "alarm", so it isn't that far-fetched.
