    Default Turbo Duo CD repair

I acquired a Turbo Duo system and have only had it for a month and it decided to break down on me today . I was trying to play Meteor Blaster DX on the system and it didn't load after a few minutes. I later find out that the cd lens is stuck in the far right position. The red lens light seems to still work, but the lens won't move. I'll probably take the system apart and try to mess with it, but I'm don't know much. Anyone else ever have this problem or know of a way to correct it?

    any help is appreciated. thanks!

i know. i would hate to have to open it up, but i'm sure i have no other option. i read somewhere else that someone had the same exact problem when playing meteor blaster dx. they said that the laser locked in the far right corner. that's the same exact problem i have. there has to be a way to reset the laser position. does anyone have any suggestions? i'll be sure not to play that game again as there probably has to be something associated to it.

i thinks i has the solution! alright assuming its a problem with the laser and not an attached motor i found this site that details how to replace the laser unit hope this is of some help. http://www.teamfremont.com/features/...uoRepair.shtml

problem fixed! it only took me about 10 minutes. i opened up the system and manually turned the crank (there are a few cranks so it took a few minutes to find the right one) then moved the cd lens back to the far left position. i put the lens cover back on and closed the lid and everything works fine now.
