God of War Question

For some reason I started playing God of War on easy mode, but came to my senses and started over on hard--a much better way to play the game. I saved the easy progress in save slot one, and the hard progress on slot two. I then decided to overwrite save slot one with the progress I had made in hard mode. It worked and saved that level, but it changed it from hard to easy. Now, all that progress I had made in hard mode is now showing easy.

Is there any way to change a saved game from easy to hard?

I don't think so, you'll probably just have to go back to your last hard save and then just delete the easy one or something if you wanna use that slot.

I researched this further and discovered there is NO WAY to go back to hard if you accidentally switch the game to easy. This is a big problem, since it is easy to make this mistake. If you lose to an enemy five times in a row, the game asks if you want to switch the easy. If you accidentally answer yes (which is easy to do), you're out of luck.

Yeah, I had the same problem.
Luckily I suck enough that the easy mode is still a challenge for me.

It ruined the game for me. I was far into it and accidentally changed it to easy with just a few stages to go. Very disappointing. I don't feel like playing all the way through again or finishing the game on easy, which is way, way too easy. Did they fix this problem with God of War 2?
