The prices can't be much worse than a GS right? Looking foward to checking this out... a little.
Same thing Media Play tried shortly before they kicked the bucket.
It's been nice knowing you CC.
My local CC is generally overpriced with games...but they do have some oldies that are harder to find elsewhere. Case in point is Ridge Racer 7 (PS3). Ok, the game isn't THAT old, but it is not normally carried in most places around me (new that is), and I did find it there for $39.99. Then, found it again at a Walmart for $29.99. Same went for some BR movies I saw. $35 there, same movies were $25 at Best Buy. I am not sure why this is, but the overpricing has got to be hurting CC's sales. Maybe they think going used is the way to go.....heh.

Here's the reason price changes generally never happen on media at CC: when I was there, once a week a list of price changes would post to the CC intranet site, most often on games and movies and very rarely for CDs. The media department had one pricegun that was generally in need of stickers. Assuming you could find a manager to let them know, the ball was then in their court as to whether or not they would be able to round some up, as the areas around the counters are universally messy and littered with old tags, old promo items, extended warranty brochures and just general bullshit. All of this, of course, was assuming that someone printed out the list in the first place, which probably happened once a month if we were lucky.
As for CC serving up used games, I now have one more place at which to avoid carelessly scratched and ratty looking games. Their prices are guaranteed to be crap and probably the only thing worth even considering are ps3 games due to the Blu-ray discs' scratch-resistant coating, but that's assuming you don't care about getting a booger-smeared manual, if in fact you get a manual at all. I'm no collector by any means, but not near-mint and no manual = no sale.
Didn't Best Buy do a test-market run on used games years ago?
Here's my feedback thread: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/show...ht=FantasiaWHT
Just what the mom and pop shops need more big box stores trying to run em out of town. Thankfully they won't succeed with their high prices (and lack of negotation on said prices) and of course condition my local shops won't take games that aren't complete and with near mint discs
So instead of staying away from CC because of their crappy selection of music and movies.....now I can avoid them because of crappy selection of used games too.
I say CC should worry more about fixing their damaged rep than bringing in more stuff they can't bother to stock.
Possibility is infinity! You must be satisfied!

This ran for awhile in my area and they had some pretty good stuff every now and then(PS2 Marvel vs Capcom 2 for $29 while it was still hot). Plus, they bought lots of games for different systems and gave way more than Gamestop ever has. Too bad it ended so early. I look forward to Circuit City's program.

It would be cool if they had games for the old classic consoles.
They've been doing it here already too, and I must say thus far it's been all shitty last gen games that never sold in the first place.
Hmm. That's pretty interesting. Better be good stuff.
Yeah, they're currently trying it here in Richmond, VA, the home of Circuit City, and they need to compare their prices to Gamestop & Gamecrazy if they think they're going to be successful at this venture. They don't have any games that are in high demand either, just a lot of old sports titles that cost way too much.
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.
Yeah Best Buy did a test on this a couple years ago...must not have gone well. Gamestop is the only place that seems to be having any luck with it. Microcenter also does it but they never have anything interesting. Meid Play was a little better when they did it, but not by much. I think it would be great though; espeacially if they take older games in trade...
Wait... higher than gamestop? They can go fuck themselves. But do they underprice any of the rare games? That's assuming you would find one...
