Robot, fight like a chicken!
MUSHA. Robo Aleste is like Compile. Good game, but excessively hard.
Check out the Kleppings!
Make Way For Madness!

Infinite Lives
Unfortunately I haven't played either.
MUSHA without a doubt. It's just superbly addictive. Robo Aleste is a great sequel, but the original has it beat in playability.
Great topic by the way! This game doesn't get enough love.
M.U.S.H.A. For many reasons. The main reason is that I can take it on the go in my Nomad.

MUSHA
I prefer MUSHA over ROBO Aleste as MUSHA seem to have more "polish" to it. ROBO Aleste is a decent game as is all Compile games but MUSHA is tops to it.
M.U.S.H.A., because it's better.
I liked the weapons and powerups in MUSHA way better. The music is far better than Robo Aleste, too. So I'd have to go with MUSHA, but the more I play Robo Aleste the more I like it.
If I had to choose the weakest Aleste game, though, I'd probably go with Aleste Gaiden over Robo Aleste.
M.U.S.H.A. wins for me. Of course, I've never played Robo Aleste.
I'm probably the only one posting here who owns Robo Aleste but doesn't have a copy of M.U.S.H.A. Unfortunately, I can't comment because I don't even own a Sega CD.
Same here Xexyz, now that you're talking about this game though I'd like to try it.
Robo Aleste, and not because everyone else is choosing MUSHA. Well, maybe.
